Florence Community Healthcare, a 65-bed full-service community hospital will open its doors to the public in January 2010 featuring state-of-the-art technology as well as superior patient care. Florence Community Healthcare is looking for an experienced Medical Records/Patient Access Director.
In this role you will be responsible for establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, standards and objectives supporting medical records managment and patient access. The ideal candidate will have experience in trend analysis, problem identification and resolution, goal setting and achievement, and policy development. Ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration of the department services and standards of care into the hospital’s primary function.

Skills / Requirements
A minimum of five years experience as an RHIT with progressive responsibility or demonstrated supervisory experience that confirms the ability to communicate effectively with management, physicians, peers, subordinates and a thorough knowledge of JCAHO, OSHA and EEOC requirements.
AA/AS degree in Health Information Technology; RHIT and or RHIA required
